Method for judging diesel generator set's trouble

Diesel Generator set have various faults during their use. There have various kinds of phenomena, the causes of faults are also various. A fault will cause various abnormal phenomena. No matter where the Generator Set fails, the diesel Generator set will not work properly. 

There are many ways to judge the failure of diesel generator sets. At present, instrumentation inspection method, verification method, the partitioning method and comparison method are mostly used.

1, instrumentation inspection method

Instrumentation inspection refers to the use of instruments or meters to test diesel generator sets, identify hidden troubles, and understand the performance and condition of the unit.

2. Verification method

Verification is the exploratory adjustment or disassembly based on known causes of failure to check the correctness of past analyses to identify the fault.

3, comparison method

The comparative method is more common. After a diesel generator set fails, if there is any doubt about a component or system, you can change a good quality component or a normal system to see if the fault is eliminated. If the fault disappears, it is proven that the fault occurred in this component or system.

4, partition method

The partition method is to stop the single cylinder operation of the diesel engine or stop the injection of several or even all cylinders one by one, and observe the change of the working state of the diesel engine before and after stopping the injection. Use this method to check the operation of each cylinder, especially to check the exhaust color of each cylinder is most effective.
