Basic operating procedures for diesel generator sets

First, preparation before starting. It is necessary to check whether the cooling water or antifreeze in the diesel water tank is satisfied before starting the machine. If it is missing, it should be filled up. Pull out the oil oil gauge to check whether the lubricant is missing. If it is missing, add it to the specified “quiet” scale line, and then carefully check the relevant parts for potential troubles. If the fault is found, it must be eliminated in time to start.
Second, it is strictly forbidden to start the diesel engine with load. Before starting the diesel engine, be aware that the output air switch of the Generator must be in the off state. After the diesel engine of the ordinary Generator Set starts, it will take 3-5 minutes of idle operation (about 700 rev / min). The winter temperature is low, and the idle running time should be extended for a few minutes. After starting the diesel engine, first observe whether the oil pressure is normal and whether there is any abnormality such as oil leakage or water leakage. (Under normal conditions, the oil pressure must be above 0.2 MPa.) If abnormalities are found, stop the maintenance immediately. If there is no abnormality, the diesel engine speed will be increased to the rated speed of 1500 rev / min. At this time, the generator display frequency is 50HZ and the voltage is 400V, then the output air switch can be put into use. The generator set does not allow long-term no-load operation. (Because the long-term no-load operation will cause the diesel fuel injected from the diesel injector to not completely burn, resulting in carbon deposits, resulting in air leakage in the valve and piston ring.) If it is an automatic generator set, there is no need to idle because the automatic unit is generally Equipped with a water heater, the diesel engine block is always maintained at 45C & ordm; the diesel engine can be powered normally within 8-15 seconds after starting.
Third, pay attention to observe the working state in operation. In the work of the generator set, there must be a special person on duty, and often pay attention to observe a series of faults that may occur, especially pay attention to changes in important factors such as oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, voltage and frequency. In addition, it should be noted that there is enough diesel fuel, such as fuel interruption during operation, and objectively causing the load to stop, which may cause damage to the generator excitation control system and related components.
Fourth, it is strictly prohibited to stop with load. Before each stop, the load must be gradually cut off, then the genset output air switch is turned off, and finally the diesel engine is decelerated to idle speed for 3-5 minutes and then stopped.
