Method for solving leakage of diesel generator set

The leakage of Diesel Generator sets may be the problem of parts such as fresh water pumps, water radiators and water pipes. The direct manufacturers of diesel generators specifically explain the solutions for water leakage of various components.
1. The fresh Water Pump leaks.
(1) If there is water leakage in the monitoring hole of the fresh water pump, remove the fresh water pump from the body and disassemble it, then replace the water seal.
(2) When the drain valve installed on the fresh water pump leaks due to spring damage, a new spring or a new drain valve can be replaced. Maintenance personnel should apply grease to the spring of the drain valve to prevent the spring from rusting.
2. The water radiator leaks.
(1) Repair method of the radiator upper and lower water chamber After detecting the leaking part of the radiator, clean the leaked part, and then completely remove the metal paint and rust with a metal brush or scraper, and then repair with solder. If there is a large area of water leakage in the fixing screws of the upper and lower water chambers, the upper and lower water chambers can be removed, and then two water chambers of appropriate size can be remade. Before assembling the upper and lower water chambers, apply a bonding agent or sealant on the top and bottom of the gasket, and then fix it with screws.
(2) Repair method of radiator water pipe When the damage surface of the outer water pipe of the radiator is found to be small in the detection process, it can be repaired by soldering. If the damaged part is large, use the needle-nosed pliers to clamp the tube ends of the damaged tube so that it does not leak. However, the number of blocked pipes should not be too much, otherwise it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the radiator. If the internal water pipe of the radiator is damaged, remove the upper and lower water chambers and replace or weld the internal water pipes of the radiator.
3. The water pipe leaks.
When the water pipe is leaking due to aging, the new pipe should be replaced. If the water pipe is difficult to buy, it can be wrapped with a waterproof tape. If water leakage occurs due to rust of the clip, the clip can be replaced or wrapped with a wire.
